On Friday, October 31st, Morse Elementary will be having its annual Halloween Parade. The parade will start at 9:15 AM. Classes will parade around our Morse classroom buildings in a serpentine manner. Students will stand outside their classrooms and watch the parade while they wait their turn. Families are invited onto campus to watch our celebration as we participate. All visitors must check in and leave promptly at the end of the event. T
When planning your costumes, please keep the following in mind, as these are the guidelines and expectations for the day:
- If students plan to participate, they must arrive at school in costume. Changing into costumes at school is not permitted.
- Costumes should be tasteful, modest, and appropriate for a school environment.
- No form of weapon, blood, or gore may be part of the costume.
- Costumes must permit students to sit and participate in the learning process for the day.
- Students may bring a change of clothes if they would like.
- This should be a fun day for all children, so we are asking that scary characters from movies or shows not be part of the day. We need to be sensitive to younger students on campus and current world events.
- Full face covering masks will not be permitted.
- Students will not have permission to request costumes from home and classrooms will not be contacted in case costumes are left at home.
Students with costumes that do not meet these guidelines will be asked to call home for a change of clothing.
We look forward to enjoying our beloved Halloween tradition this year. If you have any questions please contact your child’s teacher. Thank you for your help in making this a fun and safe day for all!
